Kingston, Canada - myLaminin Corp. announced today that it has been granted U.S. Patent titled “Network Platform for Secure Document Sharing and Verification,” by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). 

The patent, issued on December 23, 2025, protects core technology developed by myLaminin to support secure, privacy-preserving document and credential sharing in regulated environments. The invention underpins myLaminin’s approach to embedding governance, trust, and auditability directly into digital workflows.

The patent journey began with a provisional filing on February 9, 2021, followed by a full utility patent application filed on February 9, 2022. The patent was granted after full examination. At a high level, the patented platform enables:
* Secure issuance and management of digital credentials by trusted issuers
* Holder-controlled sharing of credential metadata
* Independent verification by third parties without unnecessary data duplication
* Use of distributed ledger technology to ensure integrity, redundancy, and fidelity of records
